Day 63 ~

Day 2 of captivity, I am starting to climb the fence!

Day 62 ~

Family is busy working on rebuilding the shed,

so poor Yellow Girl was stuck on the fenced deck today.

Really, how do you know if it's edible,

if you don't try it??

Day 60 ~

Day 59 ~

Large plastic cones are used to guard the seedlings the owners have planted to reforest the 600 acres. Since Yellow Girl’s first day with us, she has had a fascination with these cones and try as she might, she didn’t have the strength to unearth them. That is until today. With much joy and excitement, she came running through the fields as if she had pulled the sword from the stone.

Day 58 ~

She love the beach and her tennis ball,

B and I love watching her play.

Day 57 ~

This is the look we get each morning when we leave for work. 
Some mornings I can't even turn to look at her.

"Yellow Girl" & "Black Dog" ~ LOL!

Day 54 ~

"Yellow Girl" and I took a walk back down to the trestle today. It is in somewhat remote location and thus is a favorite hangout for the town's teenagers.

The creek which it passes over is a popular and frequented place for canoes and kayakers. I have paddled this twisted and winding creek numerous times.

I don't visit often but should as it is so pretty and peaceful.

Day 53 ~

It's all fun and games until someone eats the dead fish, (or tries to). Yike!

Day 52 ~

Wash day for "Yellow Girl"

Day 51 ~

“Yellow Girl” falls victim to the fisheye. Yes, yes, I do know it’s just plain wrong to take silly distortion photos of her (and my husband, LOL!). But when a “Phriend” lets you borrow a fisheye what’s a photographer to do!

Day 50 ~

Day 49 ~

With temps promising to reach the mid to upper 80s,
today was yet another fabulous day to hit the beach.

Day 48 ~

She don't want no stinkin' leash.

Day 47 ~

Rumor on the street has it that neon green spherical objects have been mysteriously disappearing. In fact, my next door, tennis ball playing, neighbor approached me inquiring as to the whereabouts of her necessary sporting items. I suspect there maybe a thief among us.

Day 46 ~

We are simply enjoying each day with "Yellow Girl".

Day 45 ~

You know you have had to much of the "beverage"

when you fall asleep in the cup you just chewed up!

Day 44 ~

She listens so intently when her Papa speaks to her.

Day 43 ~

one day before we know it she will be big enough to jump over ~

but for now we'll be happy to help her over

Day 42 ~

As a general rule, my dogs are not allowed to be on, or sleep in, my bed. Each morning after “Yellow Girl” has eaten her breakfast, she goes through her routine of sniffing out every corner of the yard carefully checking under every bush to see who (or what) has visited during the darkness of night. After returning to the house, she takes off like a “bolt of lightin’” to see her Papa. More often than not, she finds him hiding under the warm, comfy covers. Upon her arrival, Papa reaches down inviting her to join him.

As I approach she borrows down deep into the thick blanket, in the hopes of not being seen. She deafens her ears to my calls and rolls her eyes when I come into sight.

Day 41 ~

Happiness for "Yellow Girl" ~ 3 mile run through the fields and forest.

Happiness for B and I ~ the 3 hour nap she took when we got home.

Day 40 ~

"Yellow Girl" = Papa's Girl

Day 39 ~

This afternoon I decided to take "Yellow Girl" out solo, meaning no big "Black Dog" was there to interfere with her every move.
This gave me the opportunity to get to see her little personality bloom.

She is just to darn cute and such a sweetheart.

Day 38 ~

"Yellow Girl" has been busy soaking up some of the Spring sun.

Day 37 ~

the weather was perfect for taking a sunbathe on the deck

Day 36 ~

after having a relaxing day, 

it is always nice to get out for an evening run in the fields
