Day 61 ~

Day 59 ~

Large plastic cones are used to guard the seedlings the owners have planted to reforest the 600 acres. Since Yellow Girl’s first day with us, she has had a fascination with these cones and try as she might, she didn’t have the strength to unearth them. That is until today. With much joy and excitement, she came running through the fields as if she had pulled the sword from the stone.

Day 41 ~

Happiness for "Yellow Girl" ~ 3 mile run through the fields and forest.

Happiness for B and I ~ the 3 hour nap she took when we got home.

Day 39 ~

This afternoon I decided to take "Yellow Girl" out solo, meaning no big "Black Dog" was there to interfere with her every move.
This gave me the opportunity to get to see her little personality bloom.

She is just to darn cute and such a sweetheart.

Day 36 ~

after having a relaxing day, 

it is always nice to get out for an evening run in the fields

Day 10 ~

Taking a break from playing to enjoy the sunshine,

rumor has Spring is on her way.

Day 7 ~

After an evening of very heavy rain and thunder storms, we didn't think we would be able to go on our daily exploration of the fields, where there is always something new and exciting to be found; the scent of deer, the remains of a hawk's rabbit dinner, and lots of fox scat. The storm did pass by late this afternoon. We bundled up and headed out to see what was awaiting us today.

Day 5 ~

No one told "Yellow Girl" she would be having this much fun learning about the world around her. Papa has been taking her for exploration each afternoon. Today she was out testing the waters.

Day 3 ~

Papa is man of his word, late yesterday afternoon we explored the 600 acre woods. That's a lot of sniffing!
