Day 86 ~
Yellow Girl has spent the last two days laying and watching me plant all the summer flowers. In order to keep these plants safe from all quadrapedals I have surrounded the beds with small green wire fencing. We have had a discussion on how she is to leave all plants alone and there will be no decapitations. This is the look I received after the talk.
I think she is laying in wait and laughing at the fencing.

Day 75 ~
My camera had been in the shop getting a good Spring cleaning. Go figure, it had dog hair and sand on the sensor! To make up for the absences of 2 days, today I post 3 photos. Our puppy raiser club had a trip to a local minor league baseball game today. It gave our puppies great exposure to noises, smells and people, and "Yellow Girl" was given the chance to visit with two of her littermates.

Day 66 ~
As a general rule, Seeing Eye puppies in training and Seeing Eye Dogs are not permitted to have human food. Since most dogs are food oriented; and should they became accustomed to having table scraps, this could lead to potential problems such as a blind individual having their food taken by the dog. I do adhere to this rule, and have actually applied it to all of my dogs; those in training and my family pets. As a result, there is little to no begging for food in my house, making meal times pleasant.
B and I arranged several vacation days in which we planned to refurbish our old shed. All was going according to plan: we were going to put the finishing touches on it today and call the project completed….…then the rains came.
Plans were changed and as my Mom likes to say, “idle hands are the devil’s best friend”. I went out and purchased small ice cream cones in celebration of my birthday.
Shhh, don’t tell ‘cause I’m thinking “Yellow Girl” could be hooked on this sweet creamy treat.

Day 65 ~
As a reward for her good behavior while imprisoned, Yellow Girl was given time in the play yard. To our surprise she just layed on the decking watching her "Papa" work on replacing the roof on the shed.
